about

We are a mobile healing arts studio and small scale apothecary offering mobile acupuncture services and hand crafted traditional herbal remedies such as tea blends, tinctures, double extractions, oils, salves, sprays and other herbal blends.

Guided by seasonal availability, we offer small batch, high quality herbal remedies crafted from locally grown, sustainably foraged, or sustainably sourced high quality plant medicines.

We offer mobile acupuncture services at a sliding scale to increase accessibility to evidence based natural medicine and traditional healing modalities.  We recognize that not all people have the means to afford quality healthcare services and through our organizing efforts, we seek to address the disparities we see marginalized communities experience in the field of healthcare.

Our mission is to help people cultivate balance within and with the planet by connecting people with small batch sustainable plant medicines and traditional healing modalities that nourish strength and resilience.  At the center of our work, we aim to simultaneously promote ecological balance and inner wellness that is accessible to all.

About Xeo Thuy-Tien

The founder of The Wild Violet - Xeo Thuy-Tien is a licensed acupuncturist, multigenerational plant medicine practitioner and community organizer with over 10 years of experience as a traveling herbal clinician and medicine maker.  Xeo has undergone extensive training and apprenticeship in both "western" and "traditional Chinese" herbal medicine and holds a bachelors of science in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a master's degree in Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization from Texas Health & Science University.  Xeo is currently working part time as an herbal pharmacist at AOMA's traditional Chinese herbal pharmacy and is working on a Doctorate degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine with a focus on food allergies at the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  Xeo has spent over 10 years organizing and facilitating free and sliding scale herbal and wellness clinics, centering frontline communities facing resource scarcity paired with a lack of access to quality healthcare.  Xeo continues to offer free evidence based natural healthcare services with the Austin Community Acupuncture Collective, who partners with Austin Public Health to offer free acupuncture at public health events in the Austin area.  Xeo created The Wild Violet as an outlet to share the fruits of their labor more widely while creating a sustainable income to support the longevity of their unpaid community work.  Every purchase from The Wild Violet supports our on going mission to connect people with plants, regardless of resources or financial access.
